Anglo American Research Laboratory Tour

Taking place on: 1 September 2014 PM (during the conference)

 

A detailed tour will be provided of Anglo American’s Research Laboratories in Crown Mines, Johannesburg with specific emphasis on the facilities available in the Minerals and Process Research Group.

The tour will include an opportunity to view the department’s world class MLA, FEG-MLA, QEMSCAN, XRM (X-Ray Micro-tomography), XRD, Tof-SIMS and XPS instrumentation. The sample preparation laboratory will also be visited to view autopotting and various other automated sample preparation technologies.

Please Note: Participants will need a of identification (ID, Passport, Driver’s License, Birth Certificate etc.)
Participants are recommended to wear steel toe capped shoes and safety glasses (general PPE – though should participants not have they will be provided for).

4. Cancellations received before 30 June 2014 will receive a refund less a 10% administration fee.

5. Cancellations received between 1 July and 15 August 2014 will receive a 50% refund.

6. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after 15 August 2014.

7. All refunds are subject to the approval of and are at the discretion of the organising committee.

8. The organising committee reserves the right to change or cancel this tour.
