Equations of State in Fluid Inclusion Research

Cost: R3,000

Duration: 1 Day, 6 September 2014

Convenors: Dr Ronald Bakker - WGIM

Description:
The properties of fluid inclusions are mainly obtained from microthermometric analyses. Observed phase changes in heating and freezing experiments within fluid inclusions can be directly related to compositions and densities, using appropriate equations of state. The number of equations of state is huge for variable fluid systems, and there use is mainly dependent on available software. This short course will illustrate the use of computer package “FLUIDS” (Bakker 2003) to fluid inclusion research.
